I am...

...and I am finished!
This is quite a defining moment in my life and one that I am thrilled to share.
I have just completed my first book..."Creative Collage for Scrapbooks" which is being published this October 2005.
This book is about defining and assembling the layers of your life...it is about expressing yourself and the unique way in which you see the world around you. It is about creating art in your style with over 50 artistic techniques that can be used to create collage art, altered books, art journals, paper arts and scrapbook art.
Even though I have put my heart and soul into this book for the past year, it was truly created from a lifetime of experiences. So while today feels like the end of an unbelievable journey, I know that in fact, it is just the beginning of what is to come...

Many thanks to everyone who has been so supportive here. There were many times over the past few months that I thought I'd never finish this book, that I'd never be able to create another piece of art (that I'd never know what it was like to sleep 8 hours in a row again!)...and then I'd receive some of the most wonderfully positive and encouraging comments that were nuggets of inspiration for me. I encourage you to follow your dreams...keep doing what you love to do, and remember:
"You have to go out on a limb sometimes, because that is where the fruit is."

congratulations. I will keep my eyes out for it(and probably make a big noise shouting out in the book store when I do!)
btw. A shameless plug: In about a month www.DIYPlanner.com will have a series on their blog by the author of a series of best selling scrap making books. They have a brand new arts and illustration forum, and as of yesterday had over 36,000 hits a day.(The boston globe has a story coming out on it this coming Sunday so there may be even more visitors soon.)It would be a great place to share your beautiful work, and promote your book.
wow - congratulations!!!! I'm so excited for you AND to see your book when it comes out!
